On Earth Day, Apexians commit to a greener future. To educate students about environmental concerns and encourage sustainable practices, Earth Day was celebrated under Principal Shallu Gupta's guidance by Nehru House, themed 'Our Power, Our Planet'. The day commenced with a special assembly focused on saving the Earth. Nehru House teachers presented a sapling to Principal Ms.Shallu Gupta.
Ms. Geetanjali House incharge raised awareness about conserving electricity and natural resources to bolster green economy, environmental protection, and plantation drives. Students vowed to reduce plastic waste, conserve water, and maintain green and clean surroundings. Following Punjab government directives, science teachers educated students on solid waste segregation, demonstrating wet and dry waste disposal methods. Eco-club students created posters and slogans on the 3Rs and solid waste management. Class 7-9 buddies shared insightful facts on climate change, deforestation, and plastic pollution under senior buddies' guidance. Eco-club teachers encouraged students to become 'green warriors,' emphasizing the importance of reducing, recycling, and reusing. Younger learners participated in activities promoting earth care, such as making Earth Day cards and learning about plant growth. Class 3 students engaged in a Q&A session about Earth Day. Senior students participated in a cleanliness drive around the school campus, promoting 'Swachh School, Swachh Bharat.' Chairman Sardar Ravinder Singh Dosanjh and Principal Ms.Shallu Gupta appreciated the Eco-club and science department's efforts, urging students and staff to minimize plastic use, maintain cleanliness, and plant trees for future generations.
